Terms & Conditions

Weddings & Events 

  1. Booking Fee
    To confirm your wedding or event flowers we ask for a £200 booking fee. This booking fee is non-refundable and is deducted from your final invoice. Once the booking fee has been received, your event is confirmed. By paying the deposit you are agreeing to the Terms & Conditions.

  2. Proposal, Quotation & Payment
    A proposal with an approximate quotation for the cost of your wedding flowers will be sent to you after your free 30 minute consultation. Prices given in this proposal should be taken as a guide, and are subject to change (see 4. Flower Prices). You are free to make changes to your order up until your final payment date (2 weeks prior to your wedding). An updated proposal and quote will be sent to you finalising the details. It is your responsibility to check requirements and quantities before signing this off.
    Payment terms are as follows (unless agreed otherwise in writing between Hannah Elizabeth Flowers & Client).
    1. £100 deposit to secure date (deducted from final payment)
    2. 50% due 6 weeks before wedding date
    3. Final Payment 2 weeks before wedding date

    You will receive a final invoice approximately 30 days before your wedding. Payment is preferred via bank transfer. However, we do accept card & cash. Payment in full is required at least 14 days before your wedding day. Hannah Elizabeth Flowers will share with you a digital invoice for payment. If payment is not received, flowers will not be ordered.

  3. Flower Availability
    All flowers and foliage are subject to availability. If certain flowers quoted in your proposal are not available at the time of purchase, suitable alternatives will be used to create the same aesthetic, where possible, agreed in advance with the client. 

  4. Flower Prices
    Hannah Elizabeth Flowers will endeavour to adhere to the prices quoted, however flower wholesale prices change weekly and therefore the quote may have to be altered to reflect this. If this is the case, we will inform you at the earliest opportunity to obtain your agreement. If this is not possible, we reserve the right to charge the revised price or alternatively use different varieties of flower(s) to create the aesthetic agreed on quotation. 

  5. Staff Prices
    We shall provide staff based on the event running times provided by the client or couple during the consultation phase. If timings change, the client agrees to pay for any additional labour fees on an hourly basis (if required). Please inform us of changes to event running times as soon as possible as they may be difficult to accommodate. In some circumstances, such as larger weddings which require multiple large installations, we will need to hire in extra help with set-up which will be charged at the appropriate cost and included in your set-up fee. 

  6. Flower Freshness
    All flowers will be delivered to you in prime condition in water, suitable packaging or vessels for maximum shelf life. We will provide the Client or Couple with information on optimal flower conditions. Usually, the instruction will be to keep the product in a cool place, away from draft, heat or strong fumes, and if a bridal and bridesmaid bouquet, in a vase of water until usage. We cannot accept responsibility for any flowers that do not look their best post install if the flowers are not kept in their optimal conditions. 

  7. Hardware
    All hardware including vases, containers and equipment remain the property of Hannah Elizabeth Flowers and must be returned to our studio address within 5 days of the event unless alternative arrangements have been made (see below). Any lost or damaged items will be charged at the replacement cost.

  8. Sundries & Finishes
    We occasionally use hand-dyed silk ribbons and therefore ensure the ribbon is not sat in water to avoid the colour running. When we hand over the bouquets we will instruct the client on how to store them and package them to avoid any damage. (See 6. Flower Freshness). In the event of the natural dye running, we shall not take responsibility for garment damage. 

  9. De-rig
    We will return to the venue the day after to de-rig and break down the event. In this instance, all hardware will be collected by us, unless agreed otherwise with the client. Fresh flowers will be left in black buckets provided by us. Hired stock such as silk and dried flowers remain the property of Hannah Elizabeth Flowers and will be collected by us. 

  10. Cancellation
    We require 7 calendar days notice when cancelling a wedding or event as we order the flowers and commit to paying for them shortly after this timeframe. Should you cancel less than 7 days before the event, we charge 50% of the total quote or invoice, to cover the cost of flowers ordered, staff booked and lost business. We do our best to remain as flexible as possible should you want to move the date with more than 7 days notice. In the unlikely event that we (Hannah Elizabeth Flowers) have to cancel for unavoidable circumstances, for example in the event of, a natural disaster, serious family illness, death or tragedy, an alternative florist will be found of a similar style and ethos who we can confidently handover  your event too. If we are unable to find an alternative florist all money paid by the client will be refunded. All reasonable efforts will be made by Hannah Elizabeth Flowers to find a replacement florist. If we have to take the decision to cancel due to slander, abusive conduct etc, all moneys paid are forfeit and there is no right to any refund.

  11. Complaints     
    Any complaints must be made within 24 hours along with photographic evidence. No responsibility can be taken with regards to poor condition once flowers have been approved by the Client or Couple. 

  12. Photographs
    Hannah Elizabeth Flowers reserve the right to take photographs of flowers and the set up prior to the event which may be used for promotional purposes. All venues and suppliers across content will be referenced appropriately. We also ask that any imagery of our work across social media, websites or in print, is credited as “Floral design by Hannah Elizabeth Flowers”.

  13. Responsibility
    No liability will be taken for any personal injury obtained during the event. No liability for injury, loss or damage to the hirer or any third party with regard to any equipment hired for use at the event. It is up to the Client to provide correct locations for deliveries. We shall not take responsibility for lateness caused by an incorrect address or information. 

  14. Other
    Any disputes regarding the payment of services must be communicated within 24 hours of receiving the invoice or of service delivery. Invoices remaining unpaid one month after the invoice due date will be passed onto a third-party debt collection agency, unless otherwise agreed. 

  15. Circumstances beyond our control
    Hannah Elizabeth Flowers shall not be liable for late or non-delivery of any order or service if the delay or failure results from any of the following: (i) Acts of God, (ii) outbreak of hostilities, riot, civil disturbance, acts of terrorism, (iii) the act of any government or authority (including refusal or revocation of any license or consent), (iv) fire, explosion, flood, fog or adverse weather, (v) power failure, failure of telecommunications lines, failure or breakdown of plant, machinery or vehicles, (vi) default of suppliers, sub-contractors or delivery partners, (vii) theft, malicious damage, strike, lock-out or industrial action of any kind, and (viii) any other cause or circumstance whatsoever beyond Hannah Elizabeth Flower’s reasonable control.
     


Workshops 

1. Cancellation
We are unable to offer refunds on any non attendance or cancellations made by you, due to pre-ordered stock and supplies .We reserve the right to cancel or rearrange our workshops, and we shall endeavour to give you at least one week’s notice of any changes. If a workshop is rescheduled due to circumstances beyond our control, you will be offered alternative date(s). Please note no refunds will be given, unless agreed otherwise. 
2. COVID-19 / Illness

If you are displaying any Covid-19 symptoms or are unwell, we ask you not to attend your workshop. We can arrange a workshop kit to delivered to your home or offer you an alternative date.  

3. Photography
You will not use any imagery for your own marketing or teaching purposes. If you post across your social channels during or after the workshop you must tag @hannahelizabethflowers.
4. Intellectual Property

No responsibility will be taken for any personal property or vehicles when brought to the workshop. Health and Safety will be covered in the workshop. No liability will be taken for any personal injury obtained during the workshops.
